Mstarlogo Morningstar has a monthly, subscription based newsletter on exchange traded fund (ETF) investing, ETFInvestor.  The monthly cover story reflects the latest ETF research and analysis on ETFs to buy and avoid.

Morningstar is known for mutual fund ratings, but as ETFs grow in size, number and popularity, they are increasing coverage of ETFs.  While this is good, their allegiance to conventional mutual funds has been a bit disconcerting.

In the April issue of the Morningstar ETFInvestor newsletter, editor Sonya Morris introduces two new data points to the ETF 150 Watch List to help investors make educated decisions about investing in ETFs. Both data points rely on Morningstar’s broad equity research, with 100 analysts covering almost 2,000 stocks.

The two new data points:
.    The price/fair value ratio
.    The average stock star rating
