First Trust And ISE Create ETFs

A press release states The International Securities And Exchange (ISE) announced it has entered into an agreement with First Trust Advisors to create and list exchange traded funds (ETFs). They will list on three proprietary ISE indexes. First Trust plans to develop ETFs based on the ISE Water Index, ISE-Revere Natural Gas Index, ISE ChIndia Index, which will include U.S. listings of firms domiciled in China and India.The latter is still in the development stages. First Trust is looking to further establish their indexes as sector benchmarks and broaden their index business beyond options trading.
